About Me.

Just a small town girl....not really that small, but still.

I am the middle of three girls, the perpetual (and literal) middle-man.

I like to solve problems and make people happy. I work very hard to make sure things go smoothly in every aspect of my life; personal and professional, and sometimes that gets the best of me...

I grew up in Virginia, mostly in Roanoke, and went north for college - George Mason University. After a brief stint in Roanoke I moved back to NOVA in 2006 and started my first (and only so far!) professional job. I have been in the insurance industry for almost 10 years now and thoroughly enjoy my job - not necessarily the topic, but I absolutely LOVE the people and the company I work for and am so very grateful for the opportunities I have been provided.

In the six years I lived in NOVA after Mason I made some lifelong friends and met the man who would become my husband, Adam. While we were dating, we decided that our goals in life were leading us out of the northern Virginia area and back down south to my hometown. So, at the beginning of 2012 we took a HUGE leap and left the "big city" and headed down to Salem, VA, where we now live.

Adam proposed to me a few months after we moved to Salem and we were married in May of 2013. We bought our first house in the fall of that year and then in January of 2014 found out we were expecting our first child. We welcomed Charlotte to the world at the end of September 2014 only 11 days after my 30th birthday. The past few years have been extremely exciting and we feel so blessed. I can only imagine what else life has in store for us.

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife, an aunt, and a mother. I enjoy reading (when I can find the time), making to do lists, cooking and baking, going to sporting events (baseball is the fave), hiking and walking with my little family and our dog, fall and winter, french onion soup, grape crystal lite (or purple drink as my husband and I call it), spending Sundays at my parents house, hugging holding and rocking my baby girl, any and all types of music as long as it's loud, Apothic Red Wine when it's cool and Fat Bastard Chardonnay in warm weather. I love life and I just hope that I am able to take a step back every now and then and realize that this is as good as it gets, breath it in and delight in it's glory.
